Hi! I’m Erica,

Farm Wife. Twin Mama. Country Living.

Together with my family, we are Milla Market. Sustainably sourced, ethically raised food has always been a passion of ours. My husband grew up on a livestock farm, raising cattle and hogs, and I grew up on the edge of a small town where we always had a large garden. Since purchasing our farmstead, we have developed a hobby for gardening, preserving and canning.

In March of 2022, after our kids' first birthday, we decided to take the leap into poultry and purchased laying hens. Our purpose was to get our kids involved into livestock in a safe way for their age and begin to teach them responsibility and animal husbandry. Later that summer, we raised our first batch of Cornish Hens, and that Fall we obtained licensing under the Cottage Food Act to sell canned and baked goods for the Holidays.

Flashforward to 2025, and we are producing around 450 meat chickens and 100 Thanksgiving turkeys for local families. While our numbers are really not that impressive on the larger scale, we are doing all this on only the 2-acre farmstead we own. Our farm is proof you do not need all the space or fancy equipment to get things done. With good stewardship and planning, it is possible to do big things with fewer resources. We look forward to helping other small producers finding the same success and supplying our friends and neighbors each year with ethically sourced poultry.
