This recipe features the Green Mountain Grill Sizzle Seasoning. This seasoning is just SO DANG GOOD. I love it on so many things, but especially this dark meat chicken recipe!! Link on the right.
Like most people, I prefer light meat. However, raising our own chicken here on the farm, we have found tasty ways to put the dark meat chicken we also end up with to good use, and drumsticks are definitely easier for those tiny toddler hands. This chicken comes out with a little kick, but not too much. Just the perfect amount of flavor when paired with the sweet honey marinade. The honey also gives the skins just a little crunch from the grill! My kids LOVE this recipe. They ask for seconds every time, which is so rare with picky toddlers! You can also do this recipe in a broiler during the warmer months if you don't feel like lugging that grill out in the cold.
Sizzle Chicken

Ingredients:
1 package chicken thighs with skin (thawed)
1 package drummies with skin (thawed)
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
Green Mountain Grill Sizzle Seasoning (or your favorite seasoning with just a little kick)

Directions:
Preheat Grill to 350-400 degrees
Combine honey, ACV, and a tsp of seasoning together in a bowl.
Pat chicken dry and sprinkle with seasoning
Baste with honey mixture and sprinkle with seasoning again if needed.
Place on grill and cook until internal temp reaches 165 degrees. Continue basting while cooking if necessary. (approx10 min per side)
Serves 5-8 People.
